Your safety matters to us. crushfling is built to help you connect, flirt, and have fun, but staying safe online is your responsibility too. Here are our tips to protect yourself.
Protect Your Identity
- Never share your real name, address, or phone number with someone you just met online.
- Use your platform username (Snapchat, Instagram, Telegram) to connect. That is what crushfling is designed for.
- Do not share personal details like your workplace, school, or daily routine.
- Use a separate email for dating platforms.
How We Protect You
crushfling has built-in safety features to keep the community clean:
- AI spam detection. Every message in group chat and every profile comment is automatically scanned for spam, scams, and inappropriate content.
- Badge system. Our quest and badge system makes it impossible for spam accounts to gain visibility. Every boost requires completing real engagement tasks. No shortcuts.
- Profile reports. Anyone can report a profile, even without an account. All reports are reviewed by our team.
- Seller badges. Users selling content must toggle the seller badge on their profile. Selling without the badge is a reportable offense.
- Photo verification. Users can verify their identity by submitting photos. Verified users get a blue checkmark.
Sextortion Warning
Sextortion is when someone threatens to share your intimate content unless you pay them or do what they say. It is a crime, and it is more common than you think.
How to recognize it:
- Someone asks for explicit photos or video early in conversation.
- After you share, they threaten to send it to your friends, family, or social media followers.
- They demand money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency.
What to do if it happens:
- Do not pay. Paying does not make them stop. It makes them ask for more.
- Do not delete anything. Screenshots of threats are evidence.
- Report the profile on crushfling using the Report button.
- Report to authorities. In the US, contact the FBI IC3 (ic3.gov). In the UK, contact the National Crime Agency.
- Contact StopNCII.org. They can help remove intimate images from the internet.
Spot Fake Profiles
Not every profile is real. Here is how to spot fakes:
- No badges. Real users earn badges through activity. A profile with zero badges is either brand new or not engaged. Look for users with Gold or higher badges. They have been active for weeks.
- Empty profile. No bio, no prompts answered, no gallery photos? Be cautious.
- No profile prompts. Real users answer prompts like "My biggest fantasy is..." Fake profiles leave them empty.
- Too good to be true. Professional model photos with a generic bio? Likely fake.
- Asks for money early. Real users do not ask for money. Sellers on crushfling have a $ badge. If someone is selling without the badge, report them.
- Refuses to verify. Verified users have a blue checkmark. Ask them to verify.
If something feels off, use the Report button on their profile.
Safe Sexting Tips
Sexting can be fun when done safely. Protect yourself:
- Never show your face and body in the same photo. This makes content harder to identify as you.
- Turn off location data on your camera before taking photos.
- Use watermarks. Overlay the recipient username on photos so they cannot be shared elsewhere.
- Do not save others content without their explicit consent.
- Use disappearing messages where available (Snapchat, Telegram).
- Use our Direct Messages to chat privately before moving to other platforms.
- Check their badges before engaging. A Quick Fingers badge means they actually respond to DMs.
- Trust your gut. If someone pressures you, they do not respect your boundaries.
Video Call Safety
- Use the platform built-in video features when possible.
- Do not download random apps someone sends you. They could contain malware.
- Be aware that anyone can record a video call without your knowledge.
- Consider what is visible in your background (personal items, location clues).
If Something Goes Wrong
- Report the profile. Every profile on crushfling has a Report button. We review all reports.
- Block the user. Remove them from your conversations.
- Save evidence. Screenshot any threatening messages before they are deleted.
- Contact us. Use our contact form for urgent safety concerns.
